“It is in the shelter of each other that the people live.” -Irish Proverb
There are many reasons why families become homeless. Life events such as an eviction, job layoff, loss of a spouse, house fire, high medical bills, and poor budgeting can easily happen to any family. This is why Safe Haven Family Shelter is such a valuable asset to the community.
We empower families with the tools and resources they need to achieve self sufficiency. Community partnerships, education, volunteerism and donations all play a vital role in the organization’s success. By effectively working with businesses, government agencies, faith-based organizations, community organizations and individuals, we can substantially reduce homelessness in our community.
Safe Haven helps families rebound from homelessness by providing for their immediate needs of shelter and stability, financial literacy, job training and placement, and intensive case management throughout all of our programs.
Safe Haven Family Shelter operates through three effective programs: The Shelter Program, the Transitional Housing Program, and the Rapid Re-Housing Program.
