Rapid Re-Housing Program

The Rapid Re-Housing Program serves as a model for assisting highly motivated families to reach and sustain independent living. Families in our Rapid Rehousing program receive financial assistance to gain immediate independent housing. By embracing a housing-first strategy, we continue to embrace the best practices and solutions to minimize homeless episodes for our clients. With funding from MDHA/HUD, we are able to serve an additional ten families per year, moving them into their own (usually rental) homes, with resources to offset housing expenses for up to six months.

Safe Haven Family Shelter HouseFamilies must demonstrate readiness to participate in Rapid Re-Housing by having gainful employment to sustain the cost of independent living, meeting savings goals and progressing toward debt reduction.

The Safe Haven Family Shelter develops community relationships with landlords willing to provide affordable housing for our families, so that when they leave our programs they will have a permanent opportunity to remain financially stable.
