Families that have attained the skills and tools provided in the Shelter Program have theSafe Haven Family opportunity to apply for continued assistance in our Transitional Housing Program. We currently have eight transitional living homes, in which these families receive extended case management, therapy and financial stability, while contributing to rent and savings. The average stay for a family is eight months to one and a half years, and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. While in transitional housing, the residents can work on debt reduction, saving more income and completing a structured plan for achieving long-term sustainability. Clients still receive case management services while in transitional housing.
