Dancing for Safe Haven

About the event: The 3rd Annual Dancing for Safe Haven Family Shelter will take place April 20 at Loews Vanderbilt Plaza.It features a dancing competition of local Celebrities paired with Professional Dancers from Dance World, dinner and more! Kelly Sutton, Fox 17 morning show host and winner of the 2010 dance competition as “audience favorite”, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.  Woody Wood & Jim Chandler of 107.5 The River will join Kelly as Masters of Ceremonies.  Ted Clayton, Ellen Nelson and Heather Byrd will be back as Judges. This year, Jana Davis will also be joining our talented judges.

2012 Dancers: To date, our celebrity dancers include: Susan Edwards, Executive Director and President of Frist Center for the Visual Arts; Gerald McRath, linebacker for Tennessee Titans; John Steele, Senior Vice President Human Resource for HCA ; Bob Tuke, law partner at Trauger & Tuke and adjunct professor Vanderbilt School of Law; Bill Vandiver, hairdresser to the stars, and owner of The Edge Salon and Deborah Varallo, President Varallo Public Relations.

2012 Hero Award: We will be honoring Dave Roberson with the 2012 Hero Award. The Hero Award honors a volunteer who has exhibited extraordinary leadership, vision and dedication.
