Workforce Development you are hired-1You’re Hired! Safe Haven clients are hearing these words thanks to Safe Haven’s Workforce Development program. Through our workforce development program at Safe Haven, we are building the skills of our clients and working with potential employers to hire our families’ working parents.

One way we do this is through an onsite hiring fair every other week. These hiring fairs feature only one employer at a time that has several open positions. I do a workshop with clients on the morning of the hiring fair to prepare them for the application and interview process. The clients then meet with the employer onsite to complete the application and interview. The company recruiter then takes the applications back to the office and determines candidates for a second interview at their company.

We also have a partnership with Letter Logic called the “Jump Start Employment Program.” This partnership gives interview and work experience to Safe Haven clients, allowing them to jump start their employment and seek opportunities.

These partnerships with potential employers are essential to our workforce development program. We are grateful to the companies that partner with us on employment programs and our internal hiring fairs. We have several clients working and more to come.
