SUMMER HOUSING

summer of housing picThis summer, I set a goal to house 25 families from May through September. We are well on our way with nine moved into their own housing and four scheduled to move soon. Through our housing first and rapid rehousing model, we are moving these families into their own housing and continuing to provide case management services like job readiness classes, therapy and other essential resources. NASHVILLE FAMILY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

nash family empowerment graphWe are hitting the one year mark of the Nashville Family Empowerment Program. We are excited to announce that in partnership with Catholic Charities, we have served 134 households- moving them to transitional housing, permanent housing or preventing homelessness. This includes 318 children (ages 0 – 18) and 174 adults (ages 19 and older). (Read more…)

 

VOLUNTEERS BRING ENERGY AND OPPORTUNITIES TO SAFE HAVEN

volunter article picIn my role as Community Relations Manager, I have the privilege of working with our community volunteers to provide our youth with tutoring and enrichment programs, our families with healthy and delicious dinners, and our staff with much needed administrative help. REMEMBERING MIKE PIGOTT: LEADER AND FRIEND

parthenon awardOn June 29, 2015 Safe Haven lost a board leader and friend, Mike Pigott. His unexpected and sudden passing left us all in shock and disbelief. Our hearts go out to his wife and family who we also thank for requesting donations be made to Safe Haven in lieu of flowers. We have witnessed an outpouring of love for Mike and his family from our community. He was a special and beloved man. (Read more…)

 

BACK TO SCHOOL

GEARING UP FOR THE HIKE FOR THE HOMELESS
