Safe Haven Awarded Impact Nashville Grant

joyce and jen at awardsWe are honored to be awarded a $21,500 grant from Impact Nashville. The grant was awarded to Safe Haven for our work to end the cycle of family homelessness with innovative and evidence-based services in the Greater Nashville area. It was a competitive process with 119 applying organizations. The funds will be used to enhance our workforce development initiative by providing a pool of flexible funding to assist with client expenses associated with looking for and obtaining employment (e.g. fees for training, equipment needed to perform a job, extra childcare expenses, etc.).

Impact Nashville is a philanthropic non-profit women’s giving circle composed of women impact sign at awardsmembers who live in and are dedicated to improving the Greater Nashville area. Each member donates a $1000 tax deductible membership fee. Those fees are then combined directly into large grant dollars that are awarded to nonprofit organizations though a competitive grant process. Impact Nashville empowers women to invest collectively in our community and to improve the capabilities of nonprofits.
