The goal of Prevention Assistance is to prevent families from becoming homeless in Davidson County. To qualify for this assistance you must live in Davidson County and have children under the age of 18 years living in the home.

Good candidates for prevention services:
If you are behind on rent AND have been to court (or have an upcoming court date)
If you receive Section 8 or live in MDHA housing and your utilities are CUT OFF
If you are behind on rent and have received a letter from your landlord stating that you are at risk of being evicted due to non-payment
